I have had similar issues with the CCC. I uninstalled it and installed the driver only and don't have any further problems. Also, I found that the Windows Update drivers caused less problems than the manufacturer's drivers on my 4870 w/512 VRAM- John

Catalyst Control Center is really buggy with Windows 7 RC at the moment, a lot of people can't even get it to open. ATI will be updating their drivers in the future to be fully compatible with Windows 7. MOM.exe is part of Catalyst Control Center. You can disable it from starting up if you'd like. -Nick

You could look at the settings for the ATI device drivers in the Registry. Make sure the ImagePath includes System32\Drivers, such as REG_EXPAND_SZ "system32\DRIVERS\atikmdag.sys".I had a similar problem with a NVidia x64 driver. The registry ImagePath listedthe driveras Windows\nvoclk64.sys, but windows was trying to load the 32 bit version, SysWow64\nvoclock.sys. After I changed the ImagePath to the correct location in system32\drivers, the error message went away.
